Olimpo is a carrot variety recommended for industry (cubes and sticks) vegetation period of about 130 days for fresh market and industry for frozen food (cubes and stakes) roots 17-19 cm long resistance: HR: Alternaria dauci, IR: powdery mildew Olimpo is a high yielding variety recommended for processing, with vivid orange colouring of the inner and outer core. Roots resistant to sunburning and cracking. Dark green, erect stalks and leaves, robust and resistant to Alternaria and Powdery Mildew; strong vigour. Strong stalks and roots allow full mechanisation of harvest and processing. Sowing rate: for the industry 700-800 thousand/ha, for the fresh market 1.2-1.3 million/ha, for storage 1.4-1.6 million/ha. Olimpo does not require high fertilisation, moderate nitrogen fertilisation is recommended, up to 120 mg N/dm3.
