This flexible variety can be grown in a wide range of soil and climate conditions. Thanks to its strong root system, this cabbage will grow well in good and bad conditions. Lion has been valued for many years as it stores well even in a very simple storage. After storage and peeling the outer leaves, it reveals an appealing green colour, a quality all experienced cabbage producers appreciate. The heads are peeled quickly and easily, so the cost preparation is low. Despite the increasing variety of cabbage for storage, Lion remains the standard in Europe for resistance to internal necrosis (black discolouration on the cross-section of the head).
